South shore antique
Renovation & Addition
This 1790’s home had an addition in 1920 but needed another small addition to make it more suited to modern family life. A mudroom with laundry was added in between the house and garage to capture sandy towels and muddy boots and also connect two garden areas. The kitchen was relocated and updated with soapstone counters and reclaimed wood at the island. Through a small addition and reconfiguring existing spaces, the owners’ experience of their home changed dramatically.
