Falls Village, Connecticut
Adaptive Reuse to Create Gallery Space
This commercial building in the heart of Falls Village once housed a grocery store and was later converted into offices. It fell into disrepair and has been rescued by interior designer Bunny Williams, who had the vision, energy and dedication to the community to turn it into 100 Main, a gallery space for local artists and makers. Churchill Building Company and Drake Design Studio collaborated on the renovation design with garage doors that will open up in warmer months to connect the gallery space to a long covered porch along the sidewalk. The Falls Village Workshop will be an important addition to the town and a welcome venue to celebrate the many talented artisans working in the Berkshires.
