100 Main
Falls Village, Connecticut
Adaptive Reuse to Create Gallery Space
PROJECT DETAILS:
This commercial building in the heart of Falls Village, CT, once housed a grocery store and was later converted into offices. It fell into disrepair and has been rescued by interior designer Bunny Williams, who had the vision, energy and dedication to the community to turn it into 100 Main, a gallery space for local artists and makers. Drake Design Studio collaborated with Churchill Building Company, LLC and Jim Vaughan on the architectural design and permitting, adding garage doors that open onto a long covered porch on the sidewalk in warmer months. 100 Main has already become an important addition to the town and a welcome venue to celebrate the many talented artisans working in the Berkshires.
