PROJECT DETAILS:

Passage Rocks is a modern home overlooking Narragansett Bay. The current owners undertook a total renovation of the house and hired Drake Design Studio to develop a master plan for the site. The landscape design included terraces, a grill area and pergola, a stone spa, restoration of an indoor pool, steps, pathways and gardens. These elements enhance the outdoor living space and take advantage of the dramatic views. The plant palette is comprised of native plants and local stone that were carefully selected and placed to create steps and paths that follow the natural contours of the land. DDS designed outdoor railings with cables to minimize their visual impact, a design feature that was carried into the interiors. The design focused on simple forms to echo the modern architecture and celebrate the stunning site.
